The Intervene Practitioner Curriculum is an interactive and self-paced course designed for use by service providers who often must address the trauma experienced by Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking (DMST) victims. Developed through the collaboration of experts in trauma and interviewing techniques, this course is designed with professions such as social worker and therapist in mind. It consists of four interactive modules with interspersed videos, and an additional supplement of four videos specific to gang sex trafficking. The complete Intervene Guide and Intake Tool can be downloaded for further reference at the conclusion of the course*.
Module 1 Introduction to the dynamics of DMST, characteristics and vulnerabilities of victims.
Module 2 Psychological impact of Complex Trauma and challenges to rehabilitation
Module 3 Guidelines for interviewing and interaction with potential DMST victims.
Module 4 Model intake tool that uses a strengths-based and trauma informed approach.
The Intervene Practitioner Curriculum is Approved for 4 CEUs by National Association of Social Workers.
*If you are not taking the course for CEUs, you are not required to get a passing score on the knowledge test and you may still download the materials.
